The Saber-toothed Cats were a group of prehistoric cats that inhabited the world from the Pleistocene. The Saber-Tiger, scientifically named Smilodon, inhabited North America during the time of Mammoths. Although Smilodon fatalis were not native to Europe or Asia, they were featured in the mythical city of Hyperborea, in the far-north in the 1977 film Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. The Smilodon fought a Troglodyte, where it killed the Trog and began going after Sinbad's friends, but Sinbad gets the upper hand and kills the big cat with Trog’s spear.
